The Segue Institute for Learning is an independent charter school servicing scholars that reside in the City of Central Falls, RI.  Segue is an all inclusive school and has no restrictions or prerequisites for entry. Applicants simply need to reside in the City of Central Falls.

Segue was granted permission from the Board of Education for the state of Rhode Island to amend its charter starting with the 2018-2019 school year.  Over the next 3 school years, Segue will reconfigure to host students in grades 3 through 8 with 40 students in each grade.  Segue will stay at a maximum capacity of 240 students.

Our initial entrance lottery is held every year on March 1st, or the first business day after if March 1st falls on a weekend.  For the 2018-2019 school year, scholars applying for grades 5 and 6 will participate in the initial entrance lottery.  Next year, the lottery will accept students applying for grades 4 and 5 for the 2019-2020 school year.  In 2020, the lottery will accept applicants for grades 3 and 4 for the 2020-2012 school year.  Finally in 2021 and future years, all lotteries will be for grade 3 students only.

Any student applying for entry into a grade not specifically intended by the lottery or any scholar who applies after March 1st will be placed on a waiting list.  All students on the waiting list will be offered entry into Segue on a "first come, first serve basis" once an opening becomes available.

To apply to Segue families should fill out one of the attached forms and return it to our school during school business hours.  Segue is open Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM till 5:30 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
