After School Programs Spotlight!

Afterschool had a great first session!!
Students had opportunities to work with so many different programs in Rhode Island.
KG/1st grade had a great time working with Roger Williams Zoo, meeting new animals each week.
They continued working on their fine motor skills by incorporating stations.  This was a great connection because each day K/1 scholars have ELA and Math Stations!

For 3rd/4th grade, their favorite program was Farm Fresh! Scholars had the chance to learn about healthy eating habits and make yummy dishes with locally grown vegetables and fruits! They really stepped outside their comfort zone and tried lots of new vegetables!!

5th/6th grade learned about animals in our community with the Audobon Society.  Each week, scholars got to meet animals they brought in and learned more about them!  They got to play fun outdoors games, as well as scavenger hunt around the school!
Cheer and Soccer held great Clinics and taught their classmates what they learned this session.  The scholars had so much fun!

Thank you for a great first session Segue! Session two starts Jan. 23rd.  Stay tuned for more info!

After School Programs are in full swing!
Scholars are having a great time in Boxing Fundamentals with Mr. Powell.  Each week scholars are learning basic boxing skills and conditioning, which they also practice in Falcon Fitness and Gym classes with Miss Biascochea and Mr. Urban.
They also like having Mr. Powell teach them how to work on improving their endurance, stamina and overall health.
Take a look at these awesome kids planking it out for 1 minute!
